Making Mistakes for Fun

I guess it’s not really a mistake. More like an experiment. I used a Lensbaby Composer Pro equipped with a single glass optic, shot through a peep hole, pointed toward the subject in the hallway. I should have used a different lens or at least a double glass optic. Either way, I liked where this was going but I also see a lot I don’t like. I don’t like that I can barely see her. I sometimes do this anyway but it wasn’t my goal this time around. The challenge was shooting through a peep hole and getting the focus just right with a manual focus lens. Not a big deal in most cases except when the glass in the peep hole already makes objects look distorted.

Next time I’ll probably stick with an auto focus lens and drop this down a couple of F stops. I’m my worst critic anyway so what do you think?
