Return to Eastern State Penitentiary, Philadelphia

This was my second trip to the gorgeously decayed prison called Eastern State Penitentiary. The staff keeps the place in a permanent state of ruin, which lends to the eeriness of this disused facility. I liked the photos from my first trip to ESP a bit more but I had fun bending perspective with these. I imagine my third trip — whenever that is — will be a blend of styles from my first and second visits.

This is also my last post for the next few days while I’m back in D.C., photographing for Bumble and bumble. Fun times! Talk witcha soon.

  1. Great shots. I love the gnarly textures you’ve captured here. We don’t have many abandonments here but I did get to one that was cool. I’d love to do more urbex, the penetentiary must have had a weird feeling about it. Glorious pics though – thanks for sharing. See my post here:
