Urban Exploring in Astoria is Good for You

I was doing my morning photo walk when I found this old sewer. Judging by the bricks, I’m guessing 1800s but then again I’m not really sure when NYC started using cement for its sewage system. Meh. Anyway, I’m taking a brave band into the sewer for a photo shoot. Who wants to be the first?

Oh yeah and the old piers are nice to look at too.

All of this and more in and near Astoria Park.

  1. Great shots! Where in Astoria was this sewage pipe? It’s amazing to see all the little treasures that are hiding around every corner in New York City.

  2. Thank you! Do you know where the dog park is? It’s right behind the dog park and down into the bank. Hope that helps.
